KRAG is applying for Village Green status for the Valley Road Hills.  This important piece of local land has been used by Kirkby residents and their visitors for years and is revered throughout Merseyside and beyond as an area of natural beauty.

This land is in danger of being developed into a football stadium and we will lose what little green space we have left.

Why not take a look at the photographs we have published which highlight how beautiful the land is and how, with funding, we could make the area an even better place to enjoy.  We don't want to see the area destroyed, we want it developed, but developed in a positive way for everyone in Kirkby to enjoy, not to become a football stadium.

What can you do?   Do you have any photographs of you using the land?  Do you or any friends or relatives have memories of using the land or do you use the land now.

You may walk you dog on the land, play football, have a picnic, fly a kite, anything really.  All these activities are recreational use of the land and that is what we are going to protect, so that our children, their children and future generations can continue to enjoy what is rightfully theirs.

Green space unspoilt by ANY development.

We have created a form for you to download and complete where you can tell us why you have used the land and during which period.

You can then send your completed form back to KRAG, either by email to krag@btinternet.com or by post to:

Kirkby Residents Action Group (KRAG), PO Box 116, Liverpool, L32 9WZ

You may want to also include a KRAG membership form.

We will return all photographs when we have won our campaign.
