Who are we?

  • KRAG includes, and is supported by, a large number of residents and tenants associations across Kirkby.
  • Our members come from all areas of Kirkby and include residents who are school governors, clergy, teachers, local business owners, regeneration workers and community representatives who have all strived to improve Kirkby over recent years; we do not want to see the improvements that have been made to Kirkby thrown away by having an ill conceived scheme upon us
  • KRAG is a non party-political association of residents in the town of Kirkby. Our aim is to bring together a grass roots response to the public agenda, specifically, in relation to the town centre redevelopment.
  • We wish to protect and advance the interests of all residents in the town of Kirkby area on matters concerning quality of life, housing, the environment and the business, social and community life of the area.
  • We recently conducted a community consultation because we are concerned about the huge impact a 55,401 capacity football stadium together with a large 24-hour supermarket and retail park will have on everyone in Kirkby.

What do we want?

  • Everton fans have been promised they will be given a vote before any decisions are made.
  • KRAG demands that Knowsley Borough Council affords Kirkby residents the same respects and rights and gives the people of Kirkby a referendum.
  • We want regeneration of Kirkby town centre, without he destruction of our green spaces.
